Someone mentioned that you should restore your device and not use a backup. I would highly recommend this before heading over to Apple. Like the member stated, a lot of backups can become corrupt. This has happened to my iPhone. A simple restore helped my issue. After restoring your device and you're still having the same problem, you may want to consider making an appointment with Apple's Genius Bar. Whether you are out of warranty or not, Apple always does a great job at helping you in any way possible.
